Get Excited for Age of Conan

Posted by Peppercorn in May 5th 2008

I’ll be the first to admit that the world of MMO’s has been remarkably dry for quite some time now. I’ve found myself going back to games like WoW and Shadowbane, and I have even spent some time considering reactivating EQ2 or EVE to pass the time. With Warhammer being delayed again (and rightfully so from what I understand) we’re left with only one true game on the horizon - Age of Conan. A game who’s NDA was just lifted a few days ago.

Surprisingly, it has been brought to my attention that most people dont seem to be aware of the nature and quality of this game due out two weeks. Fear not unknowledgeable one, I am here to take care of you. Call me Mr. Motivation, and prepare to get excited.

Grand Theft Auto IV Arrives

Posted by Peppercorn in May 1st 2008

Some people have asked what took me so long to cover anything Grand Theft Auto IV related. Where’s the Top 10 Reasons to buy GTA? Where’s the GTA Preview? Haven’t you all gotten enough GTA preview buzz from just about every other website known to man?

Nevertheless, its time is now. I have had 2 nights to overwhelm myself with The Sims: GTA Edition and I’m ready to write. Let first say that Grand Theft Auto 2 was my favourite one in the series until Vice City showed up, and none of the others have really been that spectacular. This however does not imply that I wasn’t looking forward to Grand Theft Auto IV.

New Features

Posted by Peppercorn in April 28th 2008

Well I’m almost “finished” with the updated looks.

There isn’t too much new for everyone - but there are 2 handy features that were MIA before.

#1. Tags. Posts have “tags” such as xbox 360, rock band, etc. You can click on them in the right sidebar to see a summary of all posts that have those tags.

#2. Multiple pages. Pages have been capped to 5 posts per page (no more 700 posts on the front page). Click on older entries at the end of the 5th post to keep reading back.

A New Face, A New Perspective…and Age of Conan

Posted by Ristlin in April 27th 2008

DeadlyWith the recent revamp of Peppercorn Nation, the President has decided to add another voice to the world of gaming.

Expect to see a new perspective giving reviews, previews and general opinions on the ongoing and upcoming MMOs.

First of all, I know many of you have your eyes on Age of Conan and with the drop of the NDA on May 1st you should expect to see a preview on this site on the latest version of one of the most anticipated games of the year. Age of Conan is probably one of the largest games I’ve ever had to download on my laptop. Weighing in at 13 gigs, the beast of the game will require about 30 gigs of free space to download and install. Thanks to the change of engines, the system requirements are now much kinder and a general rule seems to be if you can run Oblivion you can run AoC at least at minimum settings (I will put this to the test on May 1st).

Over the next 3-4 days I will be spending some time revamping the site… please put up with the mess for the time being.

Thanks,

Pepper
