The website equivalent to this Hemi powered BBQ, I have found a true gem. I may be 5 Months behind the times as the 2008 CES (Consumer Electronics Show) named this one of the Top Four Websites Worth A Visit. Nevertheless, I must aid in getting the word out on the coolest website in the “toys for boys” category (not to be confused with the toys for girls category - but hey, this is a PG website).
The official coolest website is:
Retrevo: Consumer Electronics Reviews, Product Manuals, Guides & Deals
What is it? Well first of all, it is not a video game related website. But seriously, what self respecting gamer doesn’t want a phat big screen TV, sick digital camera, hot mp3 player, <insert latest word for cool here> surround sound system.
I won’t go in to too much detail because I’ll let you goof around on the website on your own, but I will highlight a few key points.
Basically the site exists for the reason just as it says. “Matching people with Electronics”. Whatever you want, they will find for you - and to a completely new level.
Here’s a walkthrough:
- Type in “TV” in the search bar
- Click on “What to Expect” to get a preview of the different categories
- Click on “Personalize my choices”
- Select what you want, for this example I’m looking at high end from LG, Samsung, Sony and Sharp
- Select features, for this ex. I used “1080p, LCD, 52″, etc”
- SHOW ME THE MONEY… er, products
Now what do you have? You have the sorted list of the best TVs that meet your requirements. I can assure you that this is an accurate list for both TVs, and the search I did for SLRs.
But here is the best part. Why take their word for it? Click on User Reviews. Now you can see the breakdown of every major review website and all of their reviews. This includes Best Buy, Amazon, etc. But way again, you don’t give a damn about user reviews, what do they know? Then you sir should click on Expert Reviews and read everything from AVSForum, Tom’s Hardware, and everything else from under the sun. These rankings are balanced to find out what’s hot and what’s not.
Run a few of your own searches and see what you can get!
